Another great one provided by @JaiField. C2C is a french DJ quartet that have won the DMC World Team DJ Championship four years in a row. Now I'm far from being an expert on the art of spinning records, but what I DO know is that in a time when anyone with a Macbook, Itunes, and a dream can be a "DJ" (my apologies if that was insulting to any DJ's our there..pardon my ignorance), it's really refreshing to be reminded about the skill and art that is truly involved.
This particular video is my favorite of their sets. Check out the other videos from 2003 and 2005.

Adele doesn’t sing this song…she emotes this song. Yes I have a very personal relationship with Hometown Glory for years and am proud of it. I’ve heard many remixes and considered posting on but nothing does it like the original…

About a month ago, my friend @JaiField sent me two videos to check out which were different version of the same song. Video one is the original song from Band of Horses. Video two is Cee-lo Green's version. Even though I feel that the original song is pretty sweet ear candy, I adore Cee-lo's version and video better. I felt his video really embodied the carefree love of the music. Let me know what you think of No One's gonna Love You and which version tickles your ear more. :)

I plan to start sharing some of my current ear candy with all my lovelies. You’ll start to get a sense of what I adore in songs. To start you off, I’m posting a song by the lovely Janelle Monae. She brings a refreshing yet vintage style to the music scene. This track is “BaBopByeYa” off her latest album Archandroid. Her voice is a rare gem but what has me diggin’ this tune more and more these days is the arrangement.

Munchkin battles

So occasionally I like to get into full geek mode and game. One such game I enjoy is Munchkin. The last session of Munchkin was particularly long and full of scheming, back-stabbing, and pure underhanded mayhem. After hours of this...I defeated the Mr. and Terzi with the card below.

For those unfamiliar with the game (those who haven't fully embraced you inner nerd)..the potted plant card is the weakest and lousiest card in the batch. Basically I defeated a Goliath-type monster with a dandelion. BWHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! It was miraculous! And as a reward...I received the card below...so appropriated named. :)

Painting Ish

Among many activities planned for my 5th anniversary with the Mr., we spent some time at one of my favorite Atlanta spots Wired & Fired. This cute little "pottery playhouse" is a great place for crafty creatures like myself.

The Mr. picked out a coffee mug to paint and since I already have two previously painted mugs from there, I decided to go all paint-by-no-numbers on a candle holder.
